Marc Soucy’s latest single, “Sympatico Now,” is the culmination of a lifetime of musical exploration. From Lowell, Massachusetts, and now based in Boston, Soucy started piano lessons at the age of 4 and continued for nearly a decade. By 13, he was playing in rock and R&B bands, a path that would lead him to a career in composition, production, and performance.
From 1997 to 2011, he was an independent producer, including time at Boston’s legendary Renaissance Recording Company, where he was known as “Boston’s top MIDI producer.". He’s been at the forefront of music technology since the 80s, mastering MIDI sequencing, multi-timbral synthesis, and digital audio production. This allows him to create complex soundscapes while keeping things pure and musical.
“Sympatico Now” is a mix of electronic textures, organic instruments, and rich harmonies that transcend genre. The melodic depth, cinematic feel, and dynamic evolution make it feel like a journey through different worlds, blending folk, classical, and experimental sound design.
