Robert McGinty's "Reflections" Album: A Timeless Journey of Classical and Modern Soundscapes

Composer and multi-instrumentalist Robert McGinty secures his latest album, "Reflections," containing twelve gorgeous tracks that combine classical string elegance with a contemporary touch. This album is a follow-up to his previously released album, "Chanson à La Lune." McGinty displays skill in deeply emotive pieces that cross genres with complex compositions for piano, guitar, flute, and strings.

Inspired by Vivaldi, Haydn, Scott Joplin, and Liberace, McGinty effortlessly fuses the classical era with current expression. Each track in "Reflections" gives you a whole new experience: soaring piano melodies, reverent Spanish guitar passages, and treats on flute and strings. "Ebbing Tides" and "The Whimsical Waltz," originally composed for an ensemble, feature an elegant dance between the flute and strings, reminiscent of wistfulness or cinematic beauty. "Ragtime Special" begins in traditional syncopation and then builds into an inspired finale for showtime, wistful of the early jazz piano stylings that swept the board. Spanish guitar pieces are full of intense passion and complex fingerwork, a further reflection of McGinty's deep-seated respect for classical guitar beliefs.

"Reflections," while elatedly gorgeous, is interlaced with intricately melancholy motifs. Those pieces testify to his ability to produce feelings while evoking hope and warmth. Of impeccable craft and sensitivity to melding tradition and modernity, McGinty asserts himself as a modern-day composer with a voice that is yet distinctly heartfelt. "Reflections" delivers an experience that resonates beyond genres.
