Para Lia’s “Mind Song” – A Psychedelic Rock Manifesto

Berlin-based Para Lia returns with the new single "Mind Song," an incredibly immersive track that mingles psychedelic rock, blues-infused undertones, and raw urgency regarding living life to its fullest. Not only is this hypnotic track entrancing with its melody, but it carries a powerful message: seize life, enjoy it, and free your mind.

Right from the opening guitar chords, Mind Song carries listeners off in a swirl of introspection and urgency. René Methner's powerful singing and lead work, and harmonies of Cindy Methner, together create an atmosphere at once liberating and haunting.

The song’s blue rock sound is amplified with Michael Schlottke’s energetic basslines, Emanuel Mukow’s energetic drumming, and the Mellotron-fuelled guitars of Dennis Grund and Remo Ender, creating a rich and textured sound. It’s a new rock hymn with a sound that brings to mind Pink Floyd, Black Angels, and classic psychedelic bands.

Mind Song is a command. It informs us about life's transience and encourages one to drop indecision, grab life and its gifts in its hands, and enjoy them wholeheartedly. The relentless beat and hypnotic melody of the song pound in the message, and one cannot but react to it.

Recorded by the group and produced at Berlin’s Lakesidestudio, Mind Song expresses Para Lia’s introspective lyricism and atmospheric soundscapes. With each and every one of its compositions, the group not only creates a sound, but an experience, a movement, a state of being.
